Josiah Allcorn
Executive Director
Josiah Allcorn is a doctoral candidate from central Florida who has spent time serving and leading in college-age, international, and multicultural ministries. With experience in vocational ministry, higher ed, and organizational leadership, Josiah brings a diverse blend of experiences, perspectives, and education helpful for effectively serving Ignite the Norse. More important than any qualifications, Josiah loves Jesus Christ and feels deeply called to serve the ministry of Ignite the Norse specifically. Having moved his life from Florida he is privileged to see how God is transforming the lives of the students at Northern Kentucky University as they encounter the Gospel.

Shamus Staubach moved to Northern Kentucky from Cincinnati and has been working at Lakeside Christian Church. Passionate about raising up the next generation of Christ Followers and Kingdom Workers, Shamus serves on the Ignite Board, driven by his heart for discipleship, ministry, and pastoral care. His dedication to sharing his faith and fostering spiritual growth is evident in his involvement at Lakeside Christian Church and his commitment to mentoring and equipping future leaders for the Kingdom.

Arlan Howard was born in Pineville, Kentucky, and raised in Cincinnati. After serving in the Army, he found faith in Christ while attending the University of Cincinnati. As a design engineer, he married Tara, whom he met at church, and they were blessed with a daughter, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Eventually called into full-time ministry, Arlan served in various roles at Mount Carmel Christian Church, including groups minister, executive minister, and now associate minister of discipleship. Passionate about sharing Christ, he joined the Ignite ministry, believing that Jesus is the best hope for the students at Northern Kentucky University.

Larry Travis has been dedicated to sharing the gospel throughout his 48 years in church ministry. He has led 73 mission trips across every continent—except Antarctica, as he humorously notes! Larry taught at Cincinnati Christian University for 17 years and at Northern Kentucky University for 13 years. He and his wife Cathy are proud parents of grown children, Sarah (married to John) and Josh (married to Judy), and they are blessed with five amazing grandchildren. Larry’s passion for the Lord and his love for college students drives him to help them take their next step toward Jesus with Ignite the Norse.
